Men, Take Back Your Rightful Place
Genesis 3:17 says: “And to the
man he said, “Since you listened to your wife and ate from the tree whose fruit
I commanded you not to eat, the ground is cursed because of you…” (NLT)
When Satan deceived Eve to eat
the fruit and Adam followed suit it brought separation to mankind. The family
structure was directly affected as a result of their disobedience. Sin took its
precedence with man’s separation from God. Today we see darkness like never
before. The family structure does not exist. Men have not realized their
purpose and direction-to be cultivators, teachers of the word, and the head of
their households. The reason why many men do not desires to be married is
because of the responsibility that God has placed on the husband from the
beginning of time. God purposed for the man to have dominion over the Earth.
Sadly, many men across this nation and the world are either caught up in the judicial
system or living sexually promiscuous lifestyles and spreading their seed
around everywhere. This has left women to raise men, resulting in the
prevalence of homosexuality and abortion that exists today. See, Satan knew
from the beginning what he was doing. The way to stop the recreation of man was
to oppress the male seed. Adam blamed
Eve for his fall. This is indicative of today’s times also. Many men do not
accept responsibility for their actions. We place blame on everything else but ourselves.
God gave us the power of free will to make decisions for ourselves. Sadly, the
decision making process has brought damnation to this world. The great thing is
that God has given us a way of escape. Men the time is now! Take back your rightful
place! Stop falling to bad decisions. Submit yourselves fully to Christ and He
will delight himself in you. Raise the standard in your life. Elevate your level
of thinking. It’s your destiny and purpose to be the cultivator, teacher,
visionary, leader, provider, and protector God has called you to be. Dr. Myles
Munroe in his book, Understanding the
Purpose and Power of Men, says that a real man is “someone who knows the
reality of who he is and who lives in that reality”. I submit to you that your
identity is solely in Christ- not the car you drive, house you live in, your
career. None of these things define who you are. Stand up and take back your
